haphazard - a terrible parable

"WE ARE NOT LUCKY PEOPLE AS A RULE, GENTLE READER, YOU AND I, BUT THE GOOD THINGS AND THE PRETTY THINGS OF THIS LIFE - WHICH SEEM TO BE PITCHED ABOUT IN A HAPHAZARD SORT OF WAY - MUST FALL INTO SOMEONE'S LAP, AND OUR TURN HAS COME..." (ANDREW TUER, 1892)

SGBW and Reynolds Historical Collection

had a great day meeting with Space 111 about a project and had Sonya from Southeast Guild of Book Workers come to interview me about my book projects - we did a studio visit before the interview and then went to the Reynolds Historic Collection to meet with Peggy Balch and she showed the Albinus Books of Anatomical Drawings that I used as source material.

gel skins here and there

Amy Leepard, Larry Lou Foster and I have been getting together in Tuscaloosa to do some book arts project and here they are working on faux vellum (pictographic gel skins) - and my book arts class is making gel skins to for other uses!  They will make a limp vellum structure using the gel skins instead of vellum etc.
